Mission...
Have you ever found something that you have liked and could not find
yourself putting it down or leaving alone? Well I have! As a young person in today's society I have
always been aware of the problems the Black man or woman faces. Daily we are told to believe our history
started at slavery and we cannot strive for greatness because it is not in our genes.
I'm tired of applying for twenty jobs and dropping off resumes and going on interviews to only be
turned down consistently. I am well educated, highly skilled, and
qualified for all jobs I have applied. Why is it harder for me (whose skin tone
s black as the soil who makes up Mother Nature) to get a job, and it is far
easier for a white man or woman to get job. Many of us grow up subconsciously
believing white is better than brown or black. Why is that? As hundreds of years
have passed the society has come to make us feel as if we are second class
citizens. They have programed in our brain that other races are superior and
that we will never be as good as them. But if only us African Americans knew
more of our history (before slavery) we would know we once ruled the world.
It is my mission with this movement to help inspired cultural
pride to help uplift the African American spirit and those of color around the world. It is
important that you believe in yourself. In which many generations to come will
know they have someone who looks like them that they can look up to who are
portraying a positive image. It is my hope that with the help of others I can
change what we think of ourselves and what others think of
us.
